What is Zydeco? loosely translated it means, “no salt in the beans”. For me, it means, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers. “Traveling Man”

For thousands who have had the pleasure of seeing Dwayne live, just buy “Traveling Man”. You know that you will love it. I'll say no more... If you have not had the pleasure, buy the music, then make plans to witness this young man live.

The first time I experienced Dwayne, I was behind the console preparing for his second release titled, "Dopsie Strikes". I was not expecting what followed, the most amazing "Hendrix or Stevie Ray" style of playing... except he was strokin' an accordion instead of a Strat. Dopsie's vocals were stunning, powerful and soulful, sort of like all of the male motown singers together in one throat (Sorry Joe W). Dwayne's band, the Zydeco Hellraisers, were in the pocket the entire session.

Dwayne's "Traveling Man" captures Dwayne in his up swing to stardom. "Traveling Man" producer, Gary J. Edwards of Sound Of New Orleans Record Company , put his MoJo on this project along with Dwayne (That's a good thing). Hurricanes Katrina and Rita with all of their destructive forces could not stop the making of this CD.
Dwayne Dopsie’s songs are from the heart. His lyrics reflect a carefree, yet almost painful life. His music, though thought of as traditional, rings of a new generation. Dwayne accomplished this without disrespecting what is held so proud in southwest Louisiana. Zydeco music.

DD's band, the Zydeco Hellraisers are tight as ever. The Sam trio, Calvin, Ronnie and Glenn, breathe Zydeco. Chad Welling on guitar rocks, along with Curnis Andrus blowin' the sax. Party time in New Orleans every time you play these tracks.
One other thing, I’m not sure that “world” is proper genre for this release.
Blues, Rock, and R&B along with World might help describe Traveling Man. It’s all good mon amis!
